The Green & Golden Bell Frog, Litoria aurea, can grow to 55-100mm long. A native of south eastern Australia, it is also found throughout New Zealand, usually in large open water swamps and ponds. The conservation status of this frog is ‘vulnerable’ with its numbers decreasing due to habitat loss, pollution, introduced species, pathogens and parasites.
