Commonly seen in family groups foraging for insects. Families consist of a dominant male a breeding female & non-breeding adults and young of both sexes. The latter help feed and rear nestlings. It is only in the breeding season or in male birds 4 y.o. or more that the distinctive blue colourings is seen.
